A new # 1 TPC-H benchmark result for SAP Sybase IQ, outdistancing leading competitors on price/performance in the industry-standard benchmark. Not only did they outdistance them but the cost per QphH at $1.29 at 3 TB is less than 1/3 of our next major competitor!

The certified testing, run on the SAP Sybase IQ database along with the Cisco UCS C420 M3 Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Release 6.4, achieved the best x86 server performance and best overall price/performance result 3000GB in non-cluster category.

It is important to keep moving the IQ product forward and this 3TB benchmark, combined with our April 2013 Guinness World Record for data loading of 34.3TB per hour, proves we can scale IQ 16 from terabytes to petabytes and are ready for new Big Data opportunities for SAP Sybase IQ customers to exploit!

“SAP Sybase IQ is more powerful and efficient than traditional systems for extreme-scale data warehousing, advanced analytics, and business intelligence applications,” said Dan Lahl, Vice President SAP Product Marketing. “These latest TPC-H benchmark results provide further evidence of SAP Sybase IQ’s ability to handle massive workloads for large numbers of users with performance up to 100 times faster than other systems − at much lower total cost of ownership.”

You can find the results on the report at: #1 in price/performance, non-clustered 3TB

Way to go team
