Hello!
After the last versions supported the system rename of systems based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0x (and of SAP Search and Classification (TREX) 7.10), the latest version of the system rename procedure available with Software Logistics toolset 1.0 SPS 08 now also supports the rename of systems based on SAP NetWeaver 7.3x and SAP NetWeaver 7.4 - for more information, see SAP Note 1619720. That is, you can use the tool to perform the following procedures:
- Changing the SAP system ID (SAPSID), database ID, instance number, or hostname (or any combination of these parameters) for existing SAP systems
- Based on:
- SAP NetWeaver 7.0 , SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including EHP1, EHP2, and EHP3
- SAP NetWeaver 7.3, SAP NetWeaver including EHP1 and SAP NetWeaver 7.4 (new with Software Logistics Toolset 1.0 SPS 08)
- SAP Search and Classification (TREX) 7.10 on Linux and Microsoft Windows
As a consequence, the system rename tool is now offered via two archives, both available for download today via http://service.sap.com/sltoolset:
- For systems based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0x, download:
