There are still installations of the SAP Screen Personas 1.0 and 2.0.

Depending on the Support Package Level of the system, SAP note 1787341 needs to be implemented.

This post address a known issue involving syntax errors after the implementation of this note.

Prerequisites

In order to implement SAP note 1787341, the system should have a minimum support package level:

7.00: SAPKB70024 - SAPKB70028

7.01: SAPKB70109 - SAPKB70113

7.02: SAPKB70207 - SAPKB70213

7.30: SAPKB73002 - SAPKB73009

7.31: SAPKB73101 - SAPKB73107

If a lower support package level is available, then use SPAM/SUM to import a higher support package level.

Update SNOTE

It is also interesting to have SNOTE up-to-date. Depending on the SAP_BASIS release, one of the SAP notes below will fix possible SNOTE issues:

875986 - Note Assistant: Important notes for SAP_BASIS up to 702

1668882 - Note Assistant: Important notes for SAP_BASIS 730,731,740

Syntax errors

During the implementation of the note, it is possible that two checkboxes are not marked

Even though SNOTE reports that the SAP note was completely implemented, implementing other RESTGUI notes will cause syntax errors, e.g.:

In ST22 you can find short dumps related to the issue:

If you search for inactive objects in SE80, for the user ID that implemented the note, you may find a list similar to:

Resolution

De-implement the note and follow KBA 1881290 to avoid the issue.
