I started at SAP Labs Latin at day zero in 2006. Many kilos lighter and much more hair, I was presented to a different world that day. Actually, the products and technologies of SAP were not new for me. I came from a SAP customer. However, that day it started to become difficult to separate SAP from my own career.

Viewing such a structured company with all its information and tools available, created a feeling in me that there is no limit for growth, creativity, and learning. And that was the feeling that guided me since then. First 20 people, then 50, 100 and hundreds. I feel there is a piece of me in all corners of this Labs. Every new Lob was a chance to learn more about SAP business and see things from a different perspective.

In 2010, another opportunity came: I was selected as the manager from a brand new team that was set at labs. It was a marathon of hiring around 30 people, but at same time, a way of leaving my footprint there. Nevertheless, I have never felt unsupported as a manager. The leadership framework at SAP and also locally is very important to those moments you have never faced before. The same opinion is also valid for the new opportunities that this new role offered me. Most of these opportunities came with the strategy change of SAP. Today, I can easily state that I have worked in many different companies without ever leaving SAP. From a pure on site to a cloud company, I was a part of this transformation and could contribute to it.

After 8 years, I still feel challenged every day. And, every challenge brings an opportunity that keeps me motivated to be doing what I like most: helping the world to run better.
