Siemens is partnering with SAP to build a cloud platform for analyzing data coming from sensors in their customers’ factories. The Engineering Services team from Labs in Paris is in charge of setting-up the “Platform as a Service” infrastructure and operating it for Siemens developers. These developers will work on services around predictive maintenance, asset management, and energy data.
The platform is based on the SAP HANA Cloud platform and will allow customers and developers to build and operate applications in the cloud based on the big data platform containing the IOT data coming from the sensors.
 | The Engineering Services team based out of Levallois is working closely with their colleagues from Walldorf and from the HCP team in a “war room mode” to install all the components and services to support this project. This project is involving some cutting edge technologies from SAP and from the open source world like CloudFoundry, Docker, mongoDB, Hadoop and SAP Hana. It is a huge opportunity for the team in Levallois, working on a Customer project. We can leverage all our existing competencies on infrastructure management, virtualization, and automatization to offer world-class services in operating this infrastructure. |
