SAP means "Team Work"!
I joined SAP one and half year back in BSS/BIO SM Team. I'm very happy to be part of this team. I was very curious about SAP before my association with SAP. I wanted to know, why SAP is very successful and leading software development company in ERP/CRM and many more product categories all over the world.
Every SAP customer trust SAP products in every aspect of life from manufacturing, finance, insurance, ecommerce, pharmaceutical, oil & gas to space. Processes in these sectors are very complex and critical. It is simply difficult to develop product for these processes without team work.
What I see and believe that "Team Work" is heart and core of SAP. This is main reason for success of SAP in past and will be in future. I had experience this in BSS/BIO team. Every colleague from Germany, Maxico and India are very talented, innovative and always wanted to improve current setup. They are natural team players.
Knowledge sharing, discussion, matual understanding and respect for each other is part of day to day life in SAP. Ideas and decisions are taken not based on person/individual, place, role in organizaion but purely on competitiveness, business need and future potential. This also applies to failure; individuals are not blamed and isolated when something goes wrong. This is very different from rest of players.
