On July 13th, SAP Labs Latin America hosted the first edition of the SAP IoT Experience Day. The event, a joint effort from Custom Development, SAP Marketing Brazil, SAP Labs' Marketing & Comm and Innovation areas, was an opportunity for customers to understand the role of the Internet of Things in the Digital Transformation of their business.
The event counted with the participation of more than 80 attendees who came to see how SAP solutions provide everything they need to generate intelligence based on data, things, people and connected devices.
The SAP IoT Experience Day brought a keynote from Stephan Brand, SVP IoT Moving Assets, who discussed how to chart an IoT journey using SAP solutions. Daniel Duarte, Head of Innovation & Customer Experience talked about the role of IoT in the digital transformation, while Leonardo Zanetti and Rafael Rauber from SAP Labs' development team discussed how to connect businesses to the Internet of Things with SAP.
Participants had a chance to get in contact with examples of SAP solutions integrated to the world of IoT. Among the highlights were subjects such as vehicle insights, predictive maintenance, smart building, the connected brewery and precision farming, showcasing the success case between our Labs and customer Stara. Other parallel sessions included topics on SAP HANA Cloud Platform, IoT & NF-e and Digital Store.
To finish the event on a high note, all participants got together to take part in a roundtable featuring SAP Labs' specialists on IoT, who answered questions from the audience, clearing customer's doubts while discussing in depth the many themes brought by the event.
