Innoweeks is an initiative promoted by SAP Labs Latin America to engage customers, university students, technology partners and SAP experts in a co-innovation competition using SAP HANA Platform as the base for development.
4 teams are formed by SAP employees, university students and four different SAP customers. The clients showcase the challenges they're facing in their industries to the teams so they can come up with a solution using IoT to solve their issue. The research and development of the prototype are carried out during 4 weeks - and innovation is what drives everyone during the contest!
This year, there are challenges in the areas of retail, healthcare, smart cities and public sector/utilities. Everybody has already teamed up and gone through Design Thinking sessions with their groups to understand the industry's challenge deeply. Now they're working on the prototypes and we can't wait to see what they'll present!
Innoweeks is a time to teach and encourage its participants to explore the most of their creativity, while allowing our customers to actively engage in a co-innovative environment and experience how to make the digital transformation of their business a reality!
During SAP Innoweeks, both internal and external participants have the opportunity to learn and explore the Internet of Things world, having access to the latest equipment and gadgets available at SAP Labs such as 3D printers, drones, beacons, sensors and multiple IoT development platforms.
Last year’s Innoweeks gave SAP Labs Latin America the opportunity of empowering companies like Stara and Zaffari with IoT transformation – and we’re more than ready to be part of more successful cases in 2016!
