Another quick Viz that was fun to do and aligns with my Love of Sports and all things Hoops! Pulled the Orlando Magic lineup data from nba.com/stats for their February 20, 2015 game vs New Orleans to analyze the most productive lineups based off of Advanced Stats. Only lineups with more than 5 minutes of time on floor together were analyzed.
For this particular game our most effective 5 man lineup with a +59 NetRating was Dedmon, Fournier, Oladipo, Payton, Vucevic
We will have to track how this lineup performs going forward as was the 3rd highest minute total lineup this game and the leader with a -2 NetRating was the starting lineup which included Channing Frye replacing Dewayne Dedmon. In my opinion given the defensive limitations of Vucevic ( Great O so so D ) you need a defensive presence / rim protector on the floor to pair with him and that is Dedmon and not Frye.
We shall see how my Magic play it moving forward but a fun look!!!
