Hello.

Last blog for the day! In Part 2 of my blog, we spent time diving into the capabilities of acquiring data from a BW system. I also did include some handy links on supported BEx query features and design behaviors once BW data is in Lumira.

You will notice full Lumira Desktop capabilities are available to the end user. Definitely check out the Lumira blog roll for updates on new exciting features in 1.27.

However, end-to-end is the name of the game here. After all, creating a wonderful Lumira Story with BW data is only half of the workflow. You need to be able to easily share those insights - enterprise-wide with trust.

As part of release 1.27, Lumira Visualization/Stories created with BW data can be saved to different Lumira Server editions and Lumira Cloud. See below.

From a future investment standpoint, we recommend consideration of Lumira Server for BI Platform and Server for Teams. Although server-side data refresh is not supported for 1.27, we have plans to deliver this capability in H2 2015 for the two mentioned editions. Devil are in the details (manual refresh, refresh upon open). I will talk about this in upcoming road map sessions.

In Lumira Desktop, the different save options are shown:

As example, saving to the BI Platform is super easy once logged in:

Once saved, the Lumira Story based upon BW data can be viewed in the BI Launchpad. Users can view the Story, or edit further by creating new visualization insights to add to the Story.

Simple end-to-end is shown. Please stayed tuned for upcoming road map update on server-side refresh plans for H2 2015.
