Analysis on Population of India
Hi Friends,
I would like to share this blog which is related to growth of India's population. I have done some analysis on "POPULATION OF INDIA". visualization & story creation has been done by using SAP Lumira personal Edition. I took the dataset from DataGenius's Website & Wiki.org.
So following are some facts about India's Population.
A] TOTAL POPULATION
As per the 15th Census of India which was held in 2011, India's population was counted as 1,210,193,465. Total population increased by 181,455,986, 17.70% more than the 846,427,039 people counted during the 2001 census whereas in 2011, China's population was counted as 1,347,350,000.
B] TOP 15 STATES WITH TOTAL % OF ALL POPULATION (STATE-WISE) & URBAN POPULATION
As per the data from census 2011, Uttar Pradesh is most populous state in the country with 199,581,520. In Maharashtra not only maximum people live in Urban Area like Mumbai, Pune & Nasik than any other state but also it is 2nd populous state in country. In Maharashtra 41,100,980 people living in Urban Areas.
C] STATES WITH TOTAL % OF ALL POPULATION & POPULATION IN 2011 (REGION-WISE)
We can see in the above visualization, in Uttar Pradesh 199,581,520 people are living. Next Maharashtra come in to the list. It has 112,372,972 Population. Uttar Pradesh has 18% population in it. Immediately after that Maharashtra has 14% population.
D] POPULATION IN 2011 (REGION-WISE)
After observing the above Geo-graphic visualization, we came to know that North-East India & North India (J & K, Himachal Pradesh) are very less populous states.
E] URBAN POPULATION / RURAL POPULATION
We can see the above graph, most of the people give preference to live in Urban area. Only in some states like Goa, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, etc people choose to live in Rural Area.
F] BOTTOM 10 STATES WITH TOTAL % ALL POPULATION (RELIGION-WISE)
Above are Bottom 10 states in which most of the states are central govern states & island. Because of they are very far from the main country. May be that's the reason behind less population stay there.
G] FERTILITY RATE & GLOBAL RANK BY YEAR (1955-2050)
NOTE- Above two visualization from 1955 to 2050, All data are predicted by http://www.worldometers.info/ .
As we can see the above visualization, India's fertility rate was very less than China. Also India's fertility rate is continuously decreasing but China's fertility decreasing rate is very fast. In 1965, India's fertility rate was 5.92 whereas China's fertility rate was 6.11. After 2 years suddenly China's Fertility rate decreased.
Now India's is on 2nd position of Population. If fertility growth rate is not continuously decreasing & population increase day by day then by 2030 India will cross China and will became most populated country of the world. In 2007, China applied 'One Child Policy' so that now we can see the effect of that policy.
India also have been restricted 'We Two, Our Two' policy. But some people are not following this policy. Growing population also has some advantages. India has attracted many countries nowadays just because of its growing population. Today India is the youngest country in the world. If India utilize the man power & develop the skills in their people then I am sure in very less time India will become develop country.
