Histograms may not be available in Lumira as one of the default chart types. However, it is easy to create one - Lets consider I have Quantity Sold data against Product, Year and Neighbourhoods. And I would like to create a Histogram for Quantity Sold

I am using Lumira 1.29, its possible with previous versions as well.

In the Prepare room, select the column 'Quantity Sold'. Then, in right panel go for 'Group By Range' option. Lumira provides you the Min and Max values in your column and allows you to simply choose intervals - I go for 12.

A new column Quantity Sold Intervals is generated for you with ranges. Note that a minor manipulation is required for the values to look like below

Switch to Visualize Room, and Pull in a Column Chart

  • add Quantity Sold Intervals on the X Axis
  • add Quantity Sold on the Y Axis (change the aggregation to Count All before that)

And you have your Histogram

Further, I can simply choose a stacked column chart and see how the Years are contributing to each range - by adding the Year dimension to Color Axis
