Hi,

SAP MDG is using in several User Interface the standard POWL functionality. You can define for these individual POWL`s the settings regarding the refresh behaviour in a simple way. This blog describes how you can change these settings.

Problem Description:

If you navigate to a SAP MDG page which displays a list of Change Request or Edition you do not see the most current entries. Only after a manual refresh the most recent task are displayed. The screenshot below shows the Editions POWL.

Sometimes it happens that a user navigates to a list of task within SAP MDG and the list shows only old content. The most recent tasks are just not shown within the list. Only after a explicit refresh the list is updated. Maybe you would like to change this behaviour in a way that its always updating itself if you navigate to the list.

How to change the settings:

You can change the POWL update settings by:

  1. Open transaction POWL_QUERY in the SAP GUI
  2. Select the Query ID you want to change. Example: USMD_EDTION_ALL
  3. Double click on the entry
  4. Select the Refresh Type. Example: On First Page Visit

As you can see you can choose from the following settings:

    • Manual Only
    • On First Page Visit
    • On Every Page Visit
    • On First List Visit
    • On Every List Visit

   5. Save the settings and test your new settings.

If you now open the corresponding list in SAP MDG the newly defined settings are applied. You can always check the settings in the list itself by clicking on Personalize. On the shown table you can see the settings in the column Refresh Type

Hope this helps.

Best Regards

Steffen
