The new Best Practices for Mining version 1.607 is now available.
Based on SAP ERP for HANA and EhP7, it is enabled for Fiori Apps, and localized for Australia.
It covers two end-to-end value chain scenarios from the mine to the customer. One scenario is for Coal and the other one for Copper.
We have included some complex scenarios, which are specific for the mining industry.
In version 1.607 SAP Best Practices for Mining includes 17 scenarios covering industry specific scenarios for production, costing, commodity cales including bulk transportation and quality management, enterprise asset management and environmental health and safety management.
We have added a complete new scenario for EHSM Risk Assessment and inspection control and enhanced the scenarios for commodity
sales.
The EAM scenarios enjoy some usability enhancements.
In the area for commodity sales we utilized the latest innovations from EhP7. We simplified the formulas for bonus and penalties with the new functionality for Configurable Parameters and Formulas (or CPF) to allow an easier set up without programming using the Business Rule Framework.
Additionally we added period-end valuation functionality, which allows calculating accruals at the end of the month for all open sales
documents.
In Environment, Health and Safety management, we use now the latest release of EHSM 5.0 and we have added a new scenario for Risk
Assessment including inspection control. The execution of inspection controls can also be done through Fiori Apps.
