In 2015, SCE expanded the system to capture safety observations. Location is everything to a utility; all tasks have to happen somewhere. Where is this customer? Are there other orders nearby? SAP Geographical Enablement Framework is the tool to provide those answers. Users can access a map without leaving the SAP GUI interface, while users of a geographic information system get updates from SAP software. MUD utilized resources from SAP and Esri to accomplish this project.
