Usually, when I attend a meeting where I have to give a presentation I carry a lot of stuff with me. There is my laptop for the presentation, some paper to take notes, maybe a laser pointer and my smartphone to take photos with. With SAP Mobile Documents I am able to reduce my load to only my iPad or iPhone.

In this blog I will show you how you can easily present PDF documents, capture meeting notes from within the app, and share them directly with the other participants.

SAP Mobile Documents enables me to present PDF documents from my iPad or iPhone. The app also includes a laser pointer function that allows me to highlight specific sections on the slide and to take photos from flip charts or white boards. It is really easy to use.

Presenter mode

Select the .PDF- file and press the “Present” button from the “Actions” menu.

The document opens in the presenter view.

As a presenter I get a preview of a couple of slides and the slide which is currently shown to the audience. The audience will only see the current slide. When I want to use the laser pointer, I just press my finger on the touch screen and move it to the area which I want to highlight. The laser pointer appears below my finger and on the projection. In the app settings I have the option to change the color of the laser from red to green, blue, or white.

Another feature which is very useful in meetings is the possibility to take photos directly from within the app. Just click on the “Add” button and choose the “Take Photo” button. The photo will appear immediately in the same folder where you triggered the action.

Using this function you can take pictures from white board or flip chart drawings and share them directly with the other participants.

Often the photo gallery on your device is backed up on the iOS cloud automatically. When you take your photos using the option mentioned above, the photos are not saved in your gallery. This ensures that your office discussions remain really private.

You can also record videos using the same option.

The "Present" and "Take Photo" functionality is available on both, iPad and iPhone.

Using SAP Mobile Documents for effective meetings makes your office life much easier and your work more efficient.
