More and more users work with different mobile devices to deal with their professional and private needs. They use mobile phones for calendar checks, presentations, and workflow tasks; tablet PCs to create, edit, or present documents to customers; and last but not least they still have their old-school desktop computers to be integrated into their enterprise infrastructure. They work on company devices or use their own. The problems that occur in this context are:  Where can you store the documents? How can you make sure that the document on the current device is the most recent one? What can you do to securely share files with colleagues, partners, or customers when you are not in a protected environment? And when all these issues can be resolved – how do you make sure that only authorized users can access your content? How do you protect your content against theft and unwanted manipulation? SAP has an answer to all of these questions: SAP Mobile Documents! SAP Mobile Documents is a product that combines mobile flexibility with enterprise security. The solution will be shipped in March 2013. For a first impression, check out our three minute overview video.

SAP Mobile Documents offers several options to securely cooperate from different devices – standards-based and  with enterprise-class security. You can access your own documents instantly on any device (PC, laptop, smartphone, and tablet), online or offline. You can share documents with colleagues or business partners. You can access information stored in your corporate document management system on any device. You can choose on-premise or on demand deployment using SAP HANA Cloud. Both options offer standard SAP security features. You may even develop your own extension using the software development kit that is included in your shipment. The first version of the product will be available for Windows, Mac, in your HTML5 web browser, and on iPad. Check out our overview presentation for more details.
