With the proliferation of mobile devices, the business environment is changing at blinding speeds. By using the SAP NetWeaver Portal, mobile edition (also known as mobile portal) for desktop and mobile devices, you can build a single portal that can be consumed on different devices – and generate a higher return on your portal investment.

The mobile portal is a single point of access to all the employees’ mobile assets. It is a role and web based single point of access to application (SAP and non-SAP, web and native) and content (documents, RSS feeds, and media) accessible to the user anytime on multiple devices (desktop, smartphone and tablet).

Below you can watch a short video of the Mobile Homepage offering (part of the mobile portal). The Mobile Homepage is a template based (hence, adding very low TCO) entry point for mobile users, with group-specific aggregation of RSS feeds, news, documents and pre-defined applications. Users can read news and documents, watch media steams, and launch web and native mobile apps – relevant for their daily work.

In addition, you can leverage your SAP NetWeaver Portal investment to aggregate and launch web and native mobile apps from a role based mobile launchpad.

Summary

The SAP NetWeaver Portal, mobile edition is a role-based, multi-channel portal that will easily aggregate applications, documents, and content, available to anyone, at any-time on multiple devices, giving you an out of the box, mobile-ready solution.
