We often discuss how to optimize business processes and use mobile be innovative, step ahead of the competition and attract the best talent and new customer bases. What happened if we applied this thinking to not for profits, charities, and non government organizations (NGOs)?

At TechEd Las Vegas 2013 the Mobile Apps 4 Charity initiave was launched with SAP and SAP Partner ExpertIG. To understand more about the program and how it started, I interviewed Steven Crooke, expertIG to get the details. Please watch the video below to get the details direct from the group that came up with this philanthropic idea.

As Steven mentions in the video above, Mobile Apps 4 Charity involves a community of mobile experts, technical and non-technical, and charities looking to address enterprise challenges that non-enterprise organizations face. The charities that have been selected to be part of the program today include Challenger Center for Space Science Education and Schools for Children of the World.

Below are two video interviews with representatives from each charity. In our discussions we talk about each organization, their mandates, and how mobile technology could address their major enterprise challenges.

The first interview I held was with Sean Maloney, Director of Donor Relations, Challenger Center for Space Science Education. Click on the video below to watch and learn more about this fascinating organization.

The second interview I held was with Chuck Newman, President, Schools for Children of the World. Click on the video below to watch and learn more about this organization that makes global impact.
