I recently posted a blog titledHow Disruptive Mobile Technologies Drive Business Innovationthat included a TechEd Live interview with SAP Mobile Executives and SAP Mobile Partner Accenture. In this blog and interview the discussion was focused on balancing current investments the enable employees to perform their functions and consumers to interact with a brand with new, innovative yet disruptive technologies.
An example of new, innovative yet disruptive technologies are wearables. A recent Juniper Study found that wearble technology is projected to be adopted and used by masses by 2013. And interestingly, Gartner's VP Carolina Milanesi agreed that for wearables to be successful, developers need to add to the user expeprience by complementing and enhancing what other devices already offer at the right price.(The Times of India).
To dig deeper into the future potential of wearables I interviewed pascal.lessard, Product Owner, SAP about SAP Augmented Reality solutions that include wearables, specifically smart glasses. In a 4 minute interview we discussed how SAP is integrating its solutions with wearable technologies such as smart glasses to bridge the gap between legacy infrastructures and systems to new innovative mobile solutions with augmented reality.
