UPDATE, 18th June, 2014:

OK, the call is over. Daniel will put the presentation and recording on the Customer Connection site as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the 2 questions from chat yesterday:

Q1. What is the minimum BE system requirement for NWBC 5.0?

A1: Same as NWBC 4.0: NW 7.0 (SP21), 7.01 (SP6), 7.02 (SP12), 7.03 ; ECC 6.0 (EHP0-)

(Background: Unlike NWBC 4.0, NWBC 5.0 can consume SAP GUI transactions from releasses earlier than NW 7.0 / ECC 6.0. However, it does this by consuming the SAP GUI transaction directly, without an HTTP connection, and thus doesn't require an NWBC runtime

Q2: Can I save the user name in SAP GUI shortcuts in NWBC 5.0, just as in SAP GUI standalone?

A2: Yes, it behaves in exactly the same way as standalone - the shortcut is processed by SAP GUI itself, and simply opened in an NWBC window. So if the 2 don't work the same way, then it's an issue, and you can report it.

Not really a question, but just to clarify: Damean, we had to omit the Help side panel, partly because of the development effort, and also because it didn't get 5 subscriptions - it was one of the 26. I will try to puzzle out why this isn't working for you as a custom side panel as described by John Moy - but tbh I can't do this immediately.

Are there any other outstanding issues? Please feel free to leave a comment here.

I'll link to the recording and presentation as soon as available.

Thanks again for your support, Julie.
