Hello Everyone,

As the title suggests, this blog relates to recovering the files in DTR which may have been accidentally deleted during daily development activities such as check-in/check-out, undeployment etc.

The deleted files cause many problems such as unsuccessful Sync, Create or Deploy.

It's simple. Just log in to http://<host>:<port>/dtr in your web browser with admin rights.

Click on 'ws' (which indicates Workspace) and click on the appropriate track.

Now click on the SCA where the project resides. Just direct yourself to your project. For example, we will take a BPM DC. The screen will look something like this:

Now click on the project and you will see the current version of the "comp" folder of your project in the DTR.

Now, if any of the files have been deleted accidentally, click on the "Show Deleted" icon in the top right of the screen. Once you click on this, it will display the deleted files(as highlighted) in the resource list:

Once you see this deleted file, from the icons to the right of this file, click on "undelete" icon as shown:

Once you click on undelete, it will ask you to create an activity to check out the project. Fill in the details and click on "Checkout":

Next, it will ask you to check-in the same activity you just created. Fill in the details and click on "Check-in":

After this, a Success message will be displayed:

That is it. You are done. You have successfully recovered (undeleted) the accidentally deleted file from your DTR.

Hope this helps somehow.

Please let me know if I have missed out on something or mentioned something wrong.

Regards,

Sid.
