In an aggressive time line of only 8 month Certas Energy implemented SAP Secondary Distribution Management (SDM) from scratch to automate their downstream logistics processes after the acquisition of a large network of high-volume service stations.
The strength of SAP SDM is the capability to automate typical IS-OIL downstream logistics processes end-to-end by using PAT Data Collation combined with the integrated interface module which connects external partners like vendors, terminals, and transportation companies. By applying these modules a very high grade of logistics automation can be achieved which drastically reduces the operation costs of the overall solution and allows to operate with minimal staff. Certas Energy consumes the complete SAP downstream application as a Cloud solution hosted by SAP partner Implico.
