Our current courses are coming to an end at openSAP and we’re taking a short break but don’t worry, we’re all set to begin a number of new courses starting in August and September across a variety of SAP topics. We’ve got four courses starting in the coming weeks with new topics such as SAP Fiori, the new user experience for SAP software and we’re welcoming ABAP Development for SAP HANA to the openSAP family!

Not only are our topics new, during the August break we will also take a step towards an improved openSAP platform by introducing some enhancements such as improved social collaboration. The first course kicking off on our new platform is SAP´s UX Strategy in a Nutshell by Sam Yen on August 27. This is a special edition openSAP course and we’re delighted to welcome SAP’s Chief Design Officer to openSAP. This course is just 2-3 hours duration and will provide an introduction to SAP’s user experience strategy.

Once you’ve got an overview of the UX strategy, you’re ready for our follow-up six week course Introduction to SAP Fiori UX to learn about SAP Fiori UX fundamentals and the latest features. You will learn about product installation, configuration, and best practices for extensibility.

If you’re a developer interested in ABAP Development for SAP HANA, then we’ve got exactly what you’re looking for. During this course, you’ll learn the important concepts in ABAP development for SAP HANA, how to detect and analyze the performance of your ABAP coding, and which features SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP (AS ABAP) provides for database-oriented programming.

And finally, if you’ve just completed Introduction to SAP HANA Cloud Platform then you’ll be glad to know that you can quickly move to the next level and learn to develop and manage SAP HANA native apps and HTML5 apps, as well as how to apply advanced security features, develop widgets on SAP HANA Cloud Portal, and much more with Next Steps in SAP HANA Cloud Platform (repeat) starting September 10.

We’ve also started our journey to an improved platform for openSAP and with this release we have some enhancements which we hope you’ll enjoy. In the discussion forum, you can now subscribe to discussions allowing you to keep track of topics which interest you along with a rating system. Watch out for our new features and let us know what you think in the I like, I wish forum of your respective course.

September also sees openSAP launch its first course delivered in Chinese, Get to know SAP’s Innovative Enterprise Solutions. This course will be delivered on our new openSAP China platform.

Recent Survey Results

Thank you to everyone who completed our recent survey.  We’re currently analyzing the data and will provide detailed information shortly. In the meantime, here are just some comments provided in the survey:

I find the courses extremely useful in my role as a developer/technical consultant. I have a much better knowledge of the platforms and the development opportunities now available. This has allowed me to move forward on a current project with a SAP UI5 application, and potential to develop platform specific mobile applications.

This is the One and Only Best platform to understand SAPs future plan and get on the path in advance. I Love it....

It's the first time where I believe that eLearning is working. The quality of content and how it is presented is key. Please note also that I do never consume content on a PC browser. State of art is to consume content on my Sofa using the iPad

Good place to learn and progress career & business as well

The Quality of openSAP is good. I love that it continues into the future as i will like to take more courses even the ones I missed. Thank you.

I like to learn whenever there's time to - so download the videos and watch them in the train is just perfect

Very glad SAP is supporting new ways to educate the ecosystem. No longer is classroom training the way to go, especially for technical skills.

It’s an extremely good initiative. I am one of many who have benefited from it and I have ensured that more and more people whom I know enroll. It makes knowledge transfer very easy.

Stay tuned for more details on our survey in the near future!
