Just about everyone has heard the phrase, “the Internet of Things”, but do you know what it really means? How will it affect business? How will it affect society? And most importantly, how will it affect you?

openSAP is launching a new course this March to easily explain How the Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Services will Change Society.

The Internet of Things is based on the idea that everything will be connected to the internet in the future. It will be the key enabler of new industry scenarios and of innovations in a highly networked economy. Smart devices are growing and it is predicted that by 2020, there will be 50 billion devices connected to the internet, communicating with each other and enabling better decision making. This will make everyday tasks easy to complete but businesses need to act as the key enabler before we can see the benefits in our everyday lives.

The Internet of Things provides the opportunity for businesses to transform business operations and introduce new business models to provide unprecedented levels of customer service and to innovate products, services and revenue models. Businesses will do this by adopting big data tools, cloud computing, and mobile technology.rios and of innovations in a highly networked economy.
