SAP HANA Cloud Platform is the in-memory platform-as-a-service offering which allows users to deploy applications in the cloud and leverage strengths of HANA for those applications. SAP HANA Cloud Platform uses standard programming languages such as Java and HTML5. To develop SAP HANA Native apps, development requires a Javascript dialect which is easy to learn and use.

openSAP provides free courses to developers interested in learning about development on SAP HANA Cloud Platform. The introduction course has just closed on openSAP but remains available as a self-study course. The advanced course, Next Steps in SAP HANA Cloud Platform will begin in May 2015. This course previously ran on openSAP in 2014 and with this run, some units have been updated to include new features available with SAP HANA Cloud Platform.

If you missed the introductory course, you can access it now in self-paced mode. You can access all of the learning material but you will not be able to create discussions in the forum, complete weekly assignments or the final exam, or earn a Record of Achievement.

Next Steps in SAP HANA Cloud Platform begins May 27, 2015 and will run over a period of six weeks. Throughout the course you can take advantage of all of the openSAP features such as the discussion forum, complete weekly assignments and final exam, and earn a Record of Achievement. During this course, you will also have the opportunity to access a trial developer account where you can practice hands-on exercises.
