How many of you have already modelled an XI BPM in ARIS (a tool designed for modeling business processes) ?
If you are one of those who haven't maybe it's high time to try it out.
Why ?
You need to wait for the next XI release to find out 🙂

IDS Scheer gives up the a web enable demo of ARIS for SAP Netweaver
that you can use to try the it's new possibilities regarding XI BPMs.

With the use of this link: ARIS demo registration you can register for a free evaluation account.
Once you register you will receive and link and demo account via mail and you can start exploring it.

The very first thing that will strike you is a new model type called: SAP Integration Process (XI)

You're guess is correct - you can use it to model your Repository Integration processes !

On the left tab you can add all knows XI BPM steps
(their graphical representation is almost the same as we know from Integration Repository):

For every process step you can also include XI attributes (like messages, acknowledgments, interface mappings etc.)
just as we do in the properties editor in XI.

If Aris tool is supposed to be integrated into Integration Repository then
it may be a good time to start exploring it and hopefully this weblog provides info for an early start
(as Aris is not a part of the Integration Repository yet - XI 3.0, 7.0)
