This blog belongs to a series of blogs regrouped on the SCN page “SAP PLM Recipe Development for Beginners”.

Currently there are two Fiori Apps (SAP component PLM-FIO-RCP) available for SAP PLM Recipe Development:

Let’s say you consider replacing sugar with stevia in a given recipe. To understand the impact on ingredients, nutrients and cost you can simply navigate to the respective tabs in the recipe and you will be able to asses if this change makes sense or not.

But what if you consider this replacing sugar with stevia not just for one recipe, but for an entire list of recipes? What if want you replace 10 grams of sugar with only 5 grams of stevia and 5 grams of water?  In this case the Recipe Change Simulation App helps you to:

  • create a worklist of recipes (for which you want to run the simulation)
  • manage rules of how ingredients are replaced
  • run simulations across several recipes
  • analyze the impact on ingredients, composition and nutrients

The following screen-shots show the Recipe Change Simulation App in action:
