As of Monday August 1, 2011 USPS CASS Cycle N goes into affect. With CASS Cycle N, SuiteLink processing is required for mailers who want to produce the 3553 CASS Form, which is needed for postal automation discounts. For details, see the Partnership in Tomorrow Meeting Minutes at http://ribbs.usps.gov/cassmass/documents/tech_guides/CYCLEN/.

The USPS SuiteLink product adds suite numbers to high-rise business addresses. Postalsoft’s SuiteLink option provides access to the USPS SuiteLink product and updates your records as needed.

You will need to install the newest version to be CASS Cycle N compliant. This new version, 8.00c.06.00 (Service Pack 6), released June 2011.

After you install version 8.00c.06.00, the SuiteLink processing option is selected by default in new jobs. If you deselect this option, Postalsoft does not generate the CASS 3553 form, and your mailing will not be eligible for automation discounts. Before you can perform SuiteLink processing, several steps are necessary:

  • Download and install the monthly SuiteLink directories (along with your other monthly directories).
  • If you'd like to view the SuiteLink codes after processing, add the SuiteLink Return Code field to your file layout.
  • Select the SuiteLink processing option during the address correction setup on the Multi-record tab.

See the User's Guide or online Help topics in Postalsoft 8.00c06.00 for more information on SuiteLink processing in Postalsoft.
