I blogged here earlier about the value and rich content of the RDS packages around data migration. Today, on February 22, two new packages have been offcially released and are available on the Service Marketplace.
We were able to successfully bring the content of the existing data migration packages around SAP ERP, SAP CRM and SAP for Utilities to the latest release of SAP Data Services 4.1 and SAP Information Steward 4.1. Also, the rich content has been enhanced.
The new packages are:
SAP Rapid Data Migration and Data Quality has everything you need for migrating non-SAP data to an SAP system - SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP HCM, SAP Retail, SAP Billing for Utilities, and SAP Loans Management. It provides a migration framework, including documentation, templates, methodology, tools and expertise to analyze, extract, cleanse, validate, upload and reconcile legacy data and accelerate your migration project. The content leverages SAP Data Services and SAP Information Steward. The Data Quality (DQ) portion provides a prebuilt mechanism to prepare data for use within data migration scenarios or with ongoing data integration and data governance.
