It's a new year and an exciting time here at SAP. In 2013, SAP introduced its user experience (UX) and design strategy involving "new" experiences, "renewing" the most common existing scenarios (e.g., Fiori apps), and "enabling" customers and partners new ways to improve and customize their SAP user experience (e.g., Screen Personas).

And we here on the SAP rapid-deployment solutions (RDS) team are already planning to release several new user experience RDS packages to make 2014 the easiest and smoothest year yet for implementing delightful user experiences. These new packages will combine the new SAP user experience and design strategy with the proven RDS formula to enable fast and predictable outcomes.

In fact, I recently had a chance to sit down with Sam Yen, SAP's Global Head of User Experience and Design to chat about this. We discussed SAP's user experience strategy in 2013 as well as SAP's user experience and RDS plans for 2014. I think Sam says it best at the end:

"The RDS solutions are the perfect way to make this experience much more seamless and simple for our customers. It’s a very strategic part of what we need in order to get Fiori into the hands of the end users."
