In case you haven't heard, openSAP is offering a course next month called Build Your Own SAP Fiori App in the Cloud, a course based on the latest best practices for quickly and effectively creating your own Fiori apps. For those unfamiliar, openSAP is SAP's version of the "Massive Open Online Courses" (aka MOOC) philosophy on education. It's free to anyone, and each week new videos and assignments are made available along with expert help via discussion forums.

As for SAP Fiori, it is quickly becoming the new face of SAP as a delightful and intuitive user experience. SAP has already created and released hundreds of Fiori apps but also wants to make it as easy as possible for anyone to follow the same approach to create their own Fiori apps. So this course will give you everything you need to learn about the concept, design, and technology behind SAP Fiori. You will be introduced to SAP Fiori design principles and the design thinking process. You will also get to know SAP’s Web Integrated Development Environment (SAP Web IDE), a new cloud-based tool for building apps.

The goal is to show you that with a few hours a week, you can learn how to make your own Fiori apps. In fact, as part of the course, there will be a Design and Build Challenge where you can submit your own idea for a Fiori app. No previous design or coding experience is required and anyone can participate. You will given all the resources you need to tell your own story about designing and building a Fiori app for your needs. More details will be shared during the course itself, but for now, just know that the top three submissions will win MacBook Air laptops!

The course begins March 25 and runs over a nine-week period. Enrollment is now open here and is for both the course and challenge. As always, feel free to comment below if you have any questions.

Best of luck!
