All the Top Reasons Why Prospects and Future SAP Retail Customers Should Attend this Forum

Almost anyone interested in forecasting and replenishment (F&R) solutions has heard about the SAF User Forum. It has gained the maturity of one of the preeminent user forums in the field of F&R. Today, the SAF User Forum has evolved into the SAP Forecasting and Replenishment Day-and-a-Half Forum, which this year will be hosted surrounded by the charm of Boston Harbor and the Seaport Hotel  on June 26th and 27th. Here in this special location, SAP retail customers and users will find a unique place and time to gather and network with each other and retail leaders, with future SAP retail customers, and with the SAP forecasting and replenishment team of F&R solution and technology experts and developers.

With the strong heritage of SAF User Forums standing behind it, this year’s SAP Forecasting and Replenishment Forum promises more reasons than ever for people wanting to improve their F&R solutions to be in attendance. If you are just shopping for an automated F&R solution, or if you want to become a future SAP retail customer, here are all the top reasons you should be there – plus, it’s open registration, which means it’s free!

Collaborate with Your Peers, Transform Your F&R Processes, and Meet SAP Experts

The top three reasons you should attend the SAP Forecasting and Replenishment Forum begin with the opportunity to collaborate with peers in your industry that have already implemented their forecasting and replenishment solution – including industry leaders who run the largest retail demand chains in the world. You will get to meet and hear, firsthand, from SAP customers, as well as future customers like yourself and retail companies of many sizes, about the forecasting and replenishment challenges they are facing and solving. You will understand how they tackled and conquered one of the most difficult challenges in retail today – and that is how to automate the demand chain from point-of-sale all the way down to your suppliers.

Second, you’ll discover the technology and functionality behind the SAP Forecasting and Replenishment application that makes it possible to transform your business through an F&R business process that is completely automated. You’ll see how, in the world of F&R, SAP is transforming business processes through new technologies that streamline the supply chain and give the organization a store-level solution that is increasing sales, reducing out-of-stocks, and providing dramatic benefits. Come to the forum to explore the path to getting consistent results through accurate forecasts without human intervention in an always-on, error-free, fully secure environment.

Most, if not all of, the SAP F&R customers you’ll meet at the forum started with store-level replenishment and had great success with it. Many of them have completed that phase of the project. They are now moving on to the next logical phase of the project – auto-replenishment at the distribution center. By attending the conference, you’ll learn what these current customers, who have already embarked on their F&R journey, are doing now, what challenges they are facing, and how they will resolve the challenges in their auto-replenishment initiatives?

And number three, come to the forum to meet the people that implement the solution out in the field – people who understand not only the complexities, but also how quickly the solution can be implemented. You’ll learn about SAP’s agile deployment model that provides a fast, risk mitigated rollout that lowers TCO dramatically. You can also meet several people responsible for building and designing the solution itself.

The icing on the cake is that you’ll also get to spend one-and-a-half wonderful days in Boston, go on a fantastic dinner cruise, and relax as you learn a tremendous amount of things about computer-generated orders and automated replenishment. But the chance to collaborate with your peers, transform your F&R processes, and meet directly with SAP – all while an environment made for a great forum surrounds you – only kicks off the reasons you should attend the forum in Boston this June.

Meet the Master of F&R: Dr. Stephan Kolassa, SAP Research and Innovation

Another no-miss attraction at the forum this year is Dr. Stephan Kolassa, industry leader in the development of advanced forecasting techniques and a frequent contributor to forecasting and replenishment forums. He is the chief mathematician at SAF responsible for all of the internal engine functionality. Dr. Kolassa is a world-class mathematician who sits on several boards of forecasting organizations world-wide and publishes frequently in forecasting journals. He is a clear expert on the do’s and don’ts of forecasting, and at the forum, he can recommend not only why you should do certain things, but why you shouldn’t do other things you may consider important, but really aren’t.
