Hi All

I am explaining steps to change the connection type authentication mode to sso.

To access the data from SAP BW (relational and BICS Client connections) and SAP ERP while creating connection, we can choose authentication modes. (Use specified user name and password, Use Business Objects credential mapping,SSO)

But using authentication mode SSO support end-to-end single sign on defined in the Central Management Server (CMS). If you use an external authentication source (for example LDAP), the CMS and the data source must be configured to use this external authentication source. And it’s allows enterprise network users to access all authorized network resources seamlessly.

So to change the authentication mode to SSO need to follow the below steps.

Tools --> Select Connections: Get the all the list of connection

Select the connection and double click --> the will get login parameters pop-up --> select the Authentication mode: Use Single Sign On when refreshing reports at View Time.

Then user name and password related boxes are grade-out (CMS are automatically used as the database login parameters)

Select the Bex query as back-end for the universe from the list and specify the other parameters (Connection Mode, Pool Timeout, Array Fetch Size, Array Bind Size, Login Timeout) and press the Finish.

Authentication mode for the connection type as Use Single Sign On every refreshing reports at View Time, the user name and password are automatically used as the database login parameters from CMS.

Hope this helpful.
