Not many areas in today’s Business IT are being impacted by
a firework of changes like Business Analytics.

For companies being successful is a matter of having an
excellent product, good customer service, efficient business processes and many
other factors. However all of this is proving meaningless in the end if
companies are not able to successfully steer their business, having
transparency in their business critical KPIs and to provide a reliable outlook
into the future.

Over time Analytics has become the No. 1 on the agenda of
the CIOs and is an important part of the entire company’s C-Level day to day
business. At the same time methodologies, technology and solutions in the
Business Analytics area have responded to the trend and a lot of new
developments and innovations have been introduced to Analytics.

As an example SAP is offering In-Memory technology for their Business Analytics

Suite together with new business processes such as
integrated business planning. Further innovations are being introduced
responding to market trends such as big data and predictive.

Another challenge for today’s CIO is the additional focus on the Business Users.

In the past technology related decisions were made by IT. In today’s business

environment Business Users are requesting more control about the tools they are using

and they demand state of the art solutions using the latest technology. An example how
SAP is supporting Business User and how radical changes to technology can impact
business can be witnessed by experiencing the new SAP solution for Self Service
BI. SAP Lumira Cloud and SAP Predictive Analytics can help business to go
beyond traditional enterprise BI analytics scenarios. Business Users can create
new visualizations on the fly, discovering and analyzing data from inside and
outside the organization without involving IT. Results can immediately be
stored on either the corporate network with SAP Lumira Desktop or on the Cloud
with SAP Lumira Cloud. Results are available to others within the organization
for analysis or discovery at anytime, anywhere, via mobile BI or desktop
scenarios.

The combination of the importance of Business Analytics to
company’s overall success and the ongoing high speed of innovation puts the
leaders of today’s corporation into a difficult situation. They not only need
very tactical and operational advise in how to best use Business Analytics
solutions but also more strategic advisory in regards to how to best use their
investment and where to place the company dollars.

advisory needed. Business Analytics in SAP has seen high growth rates and a
