When a company decides to implement SAP HANA, there are a few scenarios, and each has different requirements for implementation.

Scenarios include:

  1. Implementing SAP HANA as a database
  2. Business Warehouse on HANA – migration of system and data to the SAP HANA platform
  3. Implementing the HANA Suite and migrating ERP, CRM, and other systems to HANA database

Regardless of the scenario, all implementations should be complete, secure, and with reduced risk.

To assist with securing and simplifying the HANA implementation, SAP has evolved the control center from being reactive and responding to tickets for troubleshooting, to a proactive model that focuses on real-time collaboration and providing support to address security, mitigate risk, and foster innovation.

Through the unique control center concept offered by SAP, SAP HANA migration methodology and the SAP HANA transition services can secure a SAP HANA project implementation. The Control Center strategy gives an advantage to customers using SAP, and each control center has a specific focus.

In the recent webinar, Secure and Simplify SAP HANA Implementation With Help From SAP’s Innovation Control Center (ICC), presenters, Joerg Rudat, Chief Support Architect Innovation for SAP AGS the EMEA region, and Andreas Macho , Director Active Global Support & Mission Control Center HANA EMEA SAP Austria,  discuss the new control center approach and the SAP Mission Control Center for HANA.

The webinar provides a deeper understanding of the process and the ongoing support created by the control center strategy.

Below is a quick overview of the control centers.

Innovation Control Center focuses on the concept of, “Build SAP like a factory,” and aims to:

  • Reduce implementation cost
  • Reduce time to value
  • Smoother transition to operations
  • Avoid unnecessary modifications

Operations Control Center focuses on, “Running SAP like a factory,” and aims to:

  • Improve business continuity
  • Higher degree of automation
  • Better business performance
  • Reduce total cost of operations

And the last control center is the “Enhanced Back Office,” which is the Mission Control Center. This is the customer’s direct line to SAP and is accessible 24/7 to provide:

  • Direct access to unmatched expertise from SAP
  • Leveraging the entire SAP ecosystem
  • Faster issue resolution
