By Fred Isbell, senior director and head of Thought Leadership – Digital Business Services Marketing, SAP

Now that I have settled back to work after attending SAPPHIRE NOW a couple weeks ago, I’ve had an opportunity to reflect on my time at the conference. It was a great learning experience as we dynamically “‘Walked This Way’ To Becoming A Live Business” and heard numerous aha moments, customer stories, and more in this World Cup of Thought Leadership.”

The overarching theme of Live Business was very impressive. Marking the evolution of how our customers Run Simple, this new mindset supports a pragmatic, solutions-first road map that helps customers evolve and transform so they can compete and win in an increasingly digital world.

Between the opening keynote and the advice given by our experts, partners, and customers, the message and content were clear and powerful: A Live Business and the ability to Run Simple requires a redefined support function driven from a customer-first perspective and a true end-to-end value chain across IT and business solutions providers. By making the solution simpler – and inherently more supported – digital transformations can be scaled to the unique needs

of any business.

But it’s not just SAP that is evangelizing this message. Earlier this year at IDC Directions 2016, I was very fortunate to have a one-on-one meeting with Elaina Stergiades, research manager of IDC Software and Hardware Support Services. I’ve had the great pleasure of working with her over the years, and she’s been a trusted advisor to our Digital Business Services team. I asked Elaina about the importance of simplification, standardization, and inherently supportable solutions. Her responses were so interesting that we decided to host a Webcast so she can offer her insights and perspectives!

On June 9 at 11:00 a.m. EDT, we’ll host the third installment of a three-part Webcast series sponsored by Digital Business Services from SAP: The Future of Support in an Era of Cloud and the Internet of Things (IoT).”

We’ll have a great panel of subject-matter experts including:

  • Elaina Stergiades, research manager of IDC Software and Hardware Support Services
  • Michael Rieder, senior vice president and global head of SAP Enterprise Support & Premium Engagements
  • Sei Drake, chief architect of Co-Engineering and Innovation at SAP America.

Register today for the Webcast
! It will be a very informative session, and I cannot wait to moderate this incredible panel of experts. Come with your questions and challenge the experts as we’ll have an interactive Q&A and more.
