You may have read in my latest blog post about the currently ongoing partner enablement sessions on SAP Enterprise Support and SAP Solution Manager. Last week another VAR workshop was conducted in Paris, France. We had chosen a mixed agenda which included in the afternoon of day one two sessions in parallel as well as a very detailed SAP Solution Manager training on day 2 for the support engineers from the partners.

 

Around 30 people attended day one where the morning part provided an overview on SAP Enterprise Support and PCoE. In the afternoon one slot was focused on partners who are facing PCoE recertification and the other slot was focused on partners that wanted to get an high-level understanding on SAP Solution Manager.

 

The intention of day two was to get the real technical experts from the partners into one room to share best practices and to experience hands-on SolMan demos and to do exercises in a live test system. One dozen partner representatives participated in this training and the initial feedback has been extremely positive.

 

What I personally liked best about this training were the intensive discussions that we’ve had with the partners. All partners were very willing to share their perception on the support related topics and we also received lots of great questions. In addition, the whole event was really a great example for SAP internal collaboration and team effort. Involved teams included Maintenance Sales, Maintenance Solution Management, Active Global Support, Partner Service Delivery, and Channel Enablement.
