Similar to other SAP websites like SAP.com, SAP Community Network (SCN), SAP Support Portal or SAP Store, the SAP ONE Support Launchpad is using SAP Cloud Identity (SCI) for providing a seamless single sign-on authentication. This has been already described in detail, in the tips and tricks article about Working with Several User IDs by Peter Kappelmann.
Technically so called "Session Cookies" are used and securely stored on your device to enable the single-sign on authentication. Depending on your browsers setting, or the general policy of your company, browser cookies might get blocked or deleted. This might lead to general problems when logging on and authenticating to the SAP ONE Support Launchpad. If cookies are disabled, or your browser is blocking cookies a "Service provider entpoint saml2/sp/acs could not redirect to the original application URL because it could not get the RelayState value from the request." error might appear. To enable cookies / unblock required in your browser, please follow these steps:
Internet Explorer 11
Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Due to security constraints, the SAP ONE Support Launchpad will terminate an active session after 20 minutes of inactivity. Where inactivity means that you don't perform any click or action for more than 20 minutes. After this time the SAP ONE Support Launchpad will display a session timeout screen. You'll be able to log-on to the SAP ONE Support Launchpad again, resume your sesison and continue working.
Important Note: The session timeout popup might also appear prior to the 20 minute mark, if your session gets terminated elsewise. This happens, for example, in case your session cookies gets lost (see previous section) for any reason. In most browsers, active open tabs share the same session cookies. Some browser do delete session cookies premature, which causes the session timeout popup to appear in any case. If this happens, please continue working by logging in via SAP Cloud Identity again.
SAPUI5 does not support Microsofts Enterprise / Compatibility Mode in Internet Explorer 11 (IE11). This means accessing the SAP ONE Support Launchpad having the Enterprise / Compatibility Mode enabled, will redirect you to an "outdated browser" information. Please see the followin TechNet Blog article for more information on the Enterprise / Compatibility mode.
If the Enterprise / Compatibility Mode is enforced by your companies policies, please do notify your network administrator to switch off Enterprise Mode for the URLs "https://*.sap.com" and "https://*.ondemand.com". Check the following to disable compatibility mode:
