On the heels of the program launch at the recent SAP Forum Istanbul event, SAP Turkey has signed the first SAP Student Academy partnership with Yeditepe University. The signing ceremony took place at the university. By becoming an SAP Student Academy member, the university gains official SAP Education Partner status and will immediately start embedding SAP curricula within its university programs.

SAP Student Academy is a joint initiative between SAP Education and SAP University Alliances. It aims to help close the SAP skills gap within the ICT sector, increase SAP’s brand awareness, and foster co-innovation with universities. SAP Student Academy is built on the
SAP E-Academy platform, and will cover core SAP certification tracks in SAP’s major market categories of Business Applications, Database & Technology, Analytics, and Mobility through an extensive e-learning curricula and remote tutorship. Yeditepe University will manage and organize SAP Student Academy e-learnings through YUVAM (Yönetim Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi) under the guidance of Associate Professor Güner Gürsoy.

SAP Turkey will also engage with Yeditepe University students through a mentorship program, whereby five students will receive dedicated mentors who will be comprised of volunteers from SAP Turkey’s employee base.

Great News for Students and Universities Alike

Students who become members of the SAP network stand to benefit from opportunities like networking and early talent programs, access to high standard training at a flexible and cost-effective setting while working through their diploma coursework, and the chance to engage with SAP and its ecosystem at early stages of their career.

Universities gain access to the SAP ecosystem and have the opportunity to create a new line of business by reselling SAP Education offerings. In addition, students from participating universities will have access to high quality training at lower costs and gain worldwide SAP consultant and training certification with university diplomas. And universities will see another great benefit as well, as participation in the SAP Student Academy initiative allows them to become more competitive in the education sector by increasing the employability of their own graduates.
