Last week I delivered a webinar on Learning, Training & Assessments in Regulatory Compliance together with  simone.buchwald- Global Solution Principal for Learning and Talent at EPI-USE and john.kleeman2Founder and Chairman of Questionmark.

You can find the webinar Replay here.

Further Infos can be found on the SCN Blogs: Intro to Training and Assessments in Regulatory Compliance, 9 Trends in compliance training & assessments, How to support compliance programs with learning technology.

During the webinar we did the poll "Do you already use learning technology for compliance training?" 45.7% said Yes - 42.9% said no - the rest (11,4) plan it in the future.

This is pretty interesting as you can not only do compliance training much more efficient & effective with learning technology - you also can regulate training itself much better - like with rigorous reporting or pushing training to individuals.

After the presentation we had an interactive discussion with the attendees - please find the Q&A below.

Question

Answer

Where can we find the white paper?

Please find it under this link here.

What impact does generational change have to compliance training?

In general younger generations want to have simpler user interfaces as well as mobile access. In the end all your stakeholders want that – but as the younger generations are
used to simple software like google or apps like whatsapp they have an even higher interest.

SAP and its partner are proud to offer simple and consumable interfaces for learning technology – you can see some screenshots in the recorded webinar.

Regarding Page5 in the White paper => Except GE,
do we have any other numbers (ie: Fines...) about other (important) European
  countries?
What could be the trend? thanks. (MC)

Here are some data points to help

German cartel fines increasing

An interesting general perspective from a law firm sharing details of some large fines

An analysis of rising data protection fines.

The trend seems to be up in many sectors, any industries and many countries.

How can we send automatic message for a new content of a course?

Yes – this is easily configurable in Successfactors Learning – e.g. for course updates

How do we identify the learners that need to take a  course?

We can create very flexibly “assignment Profiles” to push learning to the repective target groups. There we can use and combine various criteria like job roles, location, skill level etc. and automate course prescription as well as progress reporting

How well do current learning platforms support observational assessments either against checklists or against full operating procedures?

Second do you see any emerging trends with regards to demonstrating on the job experience evidence ?

SuccessFactors Learning supports task-oriented OJT

SAP Assessment Manager supports observational assessments on mobile devices (tablets, smartphones) which makes it easier to do a observational assessment during the actual workprocess e.g. at a machine or while doing technical service. This can be linked to a Learning Management System. It’s common to have a list of tasks and for the observer to grade the participant using an objective scale for each one.

Is SAP WP Builder required for iContent or does iContent service come with its own authoring tools/service?

No, SAP WPB is not needed for using the icontent service. You can use your own content and tools and have it managed through the icontent service. Of course this content may need to fulfill standards like SCORM or AICC for working as expected in the  LMS.

Is SAP Assessment Mgmt needed for Success Factors Learning, or does the inbuilt assessment tool have equivalent functionality?

SuccessFactors Learning has an in-built question editor which serves for simple assessments.

If you want to rely on the assessments for compliance purposes, you may want to consider SAP Assessment Management. SAP Assessment Management has improved capabilities to author questions including an item bank, more question types and the ability to easily see revisions to questions for legal defensibility. It also has the improved reporting capabilities to ensure you get trustable data for compliance.

Thanks to all for the Presentation. (C/c: I think  that the Learning strategy must be a real part of the Global Vision of the smart company & SAP tools for Learning management and Learning assessment are here to support on that corporate vision...!)

Well said – thanks for the comment
