University Alliances has run a number of competitions in previous years aimed at giving students an interesting journey through the thought processes of consultants attempting to solve the problems of real customers and partners. These have included dashboard design competitions, Innojams, Design Thinking events and so on as well as ad hoc competitions held at individual universities. In 2012 we began introducing an exciting new concept - competitions where students can demonstrate both their technical competence but also their vision for how they would begin, from the ground up, to change the very nature of technology and its' use in solving real world problems. These blue sky competitions have proven extremely popular and so in that vein for 2013 and 2014 we will be launching a series of competitions for students to engage with other students and issues et by real SAP customers and partners and let them explore the horizon-less ideas that would lead to technology re-creating whole sections of industry and indeed society.
