On Friday September 12th at the Westin Indianapolis, Patrick Sims, SAP Senior Director of our Global Center of Excellence for Analytics and Business Intelligence served as a panel member during the University of Notre Dame business school event “Turning Data Into Strategic Insights”.  The event was attended by over 50 business leaders and college faculty interested in the topic.  The panel shared business and professional perspectives on the data analytics domain.

Sarv Devaraj, Fred V. Duda Chair Professor of Management, served as the moderator of the panel that included:

  • Wayne Lashua, Senior Director, Diabetes Market Research and Analytics, Eli Lilly and Company Lashua has spent more than 16 years with Eli Lilly and Company in sales, brand management and market research. He currently leads the market research and analytics function for Lilly’s Diabetes Business Unit.
  • Tom Pigott, Vice President, Finance of the Meals and Desserts Business Unit, Kraft Foods Group Pigott’s career at Kraft spans more than 17 years and includes serving as Division Controller for three different Kraft divisions, Director of Investor Relations Finance and Senior Manager in Strategy.
  • Joseph J. Willke, President, Nielsen Neuro, The Nielsen Company Willke became the President of Neuro, Nielsen’s consumer neuroscience division, in 2013.  The
    division employs brain-wave research to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of marketing communications.
  • Patrick Sims, Senior Director, Global Center of Excellence for Analytics and Business Intelligence, SAP.  Sims provides thought leadership to help current and prospective customers leverage best practices in business intelligence, their data assets and the SAP Analytics portfolio of solutions to improve business performance. Serving as an evangelist for these solutions both internally and externally, he provides strategic insight on various lines of business and industry needs within the analytics space.
