We are proud to present today Lisa K. Broekhuizen, another participant of the Appathon in the Netherlands.
Lisa is a Master student of Geo-Information Sciences and Forest and Nature Conservation at Wageningen University, Netherlands.

Her are her answers to our questions:
Why did you apply to participate in the App Camp?
I wanted to meet new people and have fun.
What did you like and what did you experience during the Appathon?
During the Appathon I really liked the atmosphere. Taking a break at 1 am to play videogames and sharing a meeting room with others to put a sleeping bag in.
What are your plans with the project for the future?
I really hope we can develop the full app and bring it to the market. I am convinced that we can actually be a major part in solving a big problem with this app.
Say something about your team or tell us how you met.
We met at the app camp, we didn’t know each other before the event.
Would you like to share something funny or an anecdote that happened during the project?
We spent two hours brainstorming ideas, coming with more suggestions and trying different angles. When it was finally time to choose what we were going to work with, we unanimously decided on an idea that popped up in the first minute.
Could you send us a very short description of your app design (1-2 sentences)?
Our app puts satellite data into the hands of foresters. Not only that, it also calculates in which areas of the forest timber production is at risk and where intervention is needed.
