Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas hosted George Muller, Senior IT Director of C.H. Guenther & Son during his visit to Management Information Systems classes on March 23, 2015. Mr. Muller is responsible for ensuring that the Information Services strategy and projects are in alignment with C. H. Guenther & Son, Inc.’s overall business goals and objectives. He is responsible for integrating acquisitions, IT strategy, capital and expense budgets and reporting strategies and project status to the IT steering committee and Board. Prior to joining C.H. Guenther, Mr. Muller spent over 15 years with Imperial Sugar Company in Sugar Land, Texas with over $2 billion in sales revenue in 1999. Mr. Muller started his career with Imperial Sugar in 1997 as Director of Information Systems, was promoted to Chief Information Officer in 1999, promoted to Vice President & CIO in 2002, promoted to Vice President of Administration in 2008 and promoted to Vice President of Supply Chain, HR, IT and Sales Planning in 2010.
Mr. Muller visited classes learning about SAP ERP using the Sam Houston State University Classic Rockers AIS Case. He explained how companies choose, implement and use ERP systems and how organizations are making a shift to more cloud based software as a service products. Upon completion of the SAP University Alliances AIS curriculum, students will play the ERPsim Game.
