SAP University Alliances had a fantastic year and were able to reach out to more than 1.5 million students globally with the knowledge of
SAP, SAP HANA and the latest in technologies such as SAP Mobility, Analytics, Cloud Computing, Database & Technology and Applications. The UA India team participated in the festivals of many top colleges throughout the year to spread the knowledge on these topics. What a year we had – but we are not going to stop here and will reach out to more colleges in 2014!
The first festival that UA will be a part of is Echoes 2014 from 24 Jan to 26 Jan 2014, hosted by Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode which is also a member of the SAP University Alliances program. We will set up an information booth at the venue for students to get information on SAP and the buzzing topics. There will be speaker sessions on 25 and 26 Jan to address a group of interested students – there will be quizzes and we would be giving out SAP goodies to the winners!
We just concluded the event and as promised here are the updates!
Calicut is a hot and humid place but is home to great institutions like IIM Kozhikode and National Institute of Technology, Calicut and the students were
thorough with their preparations for this festival. The SAP UA team sponsored the festival and got the opportunity to reach out to 1500+ students and 15 faculties through speaker sessions at the Lecture halls, UA Banners & the UA booth.The booths were ready and so were the lectures for SAP that were scheduled for 25 and 26 January.
Both these sessions had almost 100 to 150 students participatinge each! The first session was by me and I spoke to the students about the 5 essential
technologies that students must know about – Mobility, Cloud, Database, Applications and Analytics and how SAP over the last 41 years has transformed
itself and defined (read redefined) the IT landscape globally and hence changed the way many businesses operate. Students won goodies by answering and even asking good questions. The next day was even more fun when Rahul spoke to the students about SAP and SAP University Alliances and its initiatives such as SAP Student Ambassador Program, MOOCs, Student Academy, Academy Cube and much more. This session saw a lot more students winning prizes.
