Last week, some 75 top selected computer science students gathered at the Interdisciplinary Center, Israel, to compete for the best application to help students in their "student life".

The students, clustered in teams of 3-5 each, had 48 hours to plan, program and demonstrate their applications in front of a panel of distinguished judging panel, among which was Shai Agassi, former SAP Board Member.

Several industry sponsors, SAP included, solicited the teams to develop their applications using their technologies. SAP Labs Israel experts from 3 LoB's (River, Cloud Portal, Magnet) offered cloud based platforms and tight support, as 3 teams delved into the code. One team completed the "To Be Continued" application on the SAP Cloud Portal on HANA.

The students provided invaluable feedback to our development teams and one of them is on the way to be hired.

The winning teams won money prizes and a chance to further expose and develop their application.

The student heared a Tech-Talk on web animations development by SAP Labs Israel expert Nir Dayan, who glued the students to their seats in an educating lecture.

SAP received a strong brand exposure as well, especially given the fact that only cutting edge technologies were offered to the students and other leading companies sided with SAP as sponsors in this high-profile event.
