For a second year, the SAP Truck has crossed France to meet our customers and our universities partners.
Like last year, in this exams and holidays period, campuses were empty so we have decided to organize “after-work” sessions, on our customers parking, with the following invitation “SAP Run simple Tour, Come Onboard !”.
That was without a last minute customer cancellation. SAP UA has jumped on this big opportunity to organize, in 12 hours, a backup solution with our UA members.
The constraints were the following, find a campus with all accessibilities for a 35t Truck, less than 2 hours’ drive from Paris and a Managing Director enough flexible to say “Yes” to our truck after 2 minutes phone call.
The CESI Rouen has been our champion!
Anecdotally, Jean-Michel Vallet, the CESI Rouen MD, was the one who has opened the parking doors for the truck in the evening.
For SAP UA the Run Simple Tour in France is :
3 cities, 5 dates: Lille the 15th, Paris the 17th and 18th and Rouen the 24th and 25thof June 2015.
The SAP Run Simple Tour 2015 is key demos showcased in the main space.

The “Waouh” effect 2.0 of the Truck
The “Waouh” effect of Truck’s content, demos and presentations skillfully and expertly led by Maël ROPARS, Presales BI, Database & Technologies, and carefully supported by Gisele PREVOST, Analytics Campaign Marketing Manager.
Their success was the visitors’ happy faces getting out of Big Data Truck.

It was a great opportunity to highlight SAP UA activities within the SAP ecosystem and promote our student HCP program and S4HANA
Our French tour has started by Lille, with an “after-work” session on Boulanger parking where our partners IESEG Lille and EPSI Lille have visited us.
During Paris step, the Run Simple Tour has parked front of SAP offices, Tour SAP, during the Digital Economy Forum.
The truck team has to deal with the Levallois’ municipality to have authorizations to park and the Police intervention to remove the troublesome vehicles!
But everything was ready to attend all Digital Economy Forum and our partner EPSI Paris, ESIGELEC, EISTI and ESCA visitors.
As always, the students and lecturers get out with the desire to learn more about SAP Hana and SAP solution.
Our last step, Rouen, has been the more challenging. Due a last minute cancellation, as back-up solution, we had to manage to find a SAP UA partner campus responding to all our constraints in 12 hours.
The CESI Rouen has been awesome. They have said “Yes for the truck” at 4pm, the truck has arrived at 7pm and I have received a pics of the truck installed at 8pm!
The 2nd challenge for me has been to take over the speaker role, in place of Maël, for the last 5 sessions presentation.
The digital farming has no more secret for me !
One more time, it was many goods returns and a lot of discussion about innovation and future collaboration with SAP UA Program.
This was only possible through close collaboration with the Marketing who trusted us. A special BIG thanks to Gisèle Prevost who, as usual, involves SAP UA in her events.
The Run Simple Tour crosses Europe until November 2015, for a “Waouh” effect, come onboard and join the Run Simple team !
