On October 7th and 8th, the French SAP User Group (USF) held its Annual Convention in Lyon (France).

For the 4th year, the SAP User Group has highlighted the SAP University Alliances Program with their “Village Ecoles”.

This “Village Ecoles” is dedicated to our SAP UA members. This year INSA Lyon, EPSI, EISTI and IAE d’Aix-en- Provence were exhibitor.

They are very representative of our program and our missions Learn, Share, Apply, Recruit, Empower.

EPSI (School of Computer Engineering) opened a 6-month training alternating specializing in the management of ERP in partnership with SAP UA. This program is designed for job seekers, primarily for senior citizens or long-term unemployed who had operational duties in business (purchasing, logistics, production, management control), whether IT skills or not. In partnership with companies such as Accenture, Capgemini and Delaware, with the assistance of 3 public institutions, OPCA, FAFIEC and Pôle Emploi Pays De Loire. In only 4 months of preparation, 17 job seekers were able to obtain a diploma course in computer science and expert information system course ERP functional consultant, backed by a certification TERP10 and eAcademies for specializations. According to the school, they all found jobs ! 5 more sessions have been created for 2015. We are expecting to help 100 more job seekers.

4 EISTI students build our Business partner UBISTER’s new solution The service provider for SAP Business ByDesign completes its offer by adding to its “Business One portfolio On Demand”, SaaS declination of the offer SMEs of the publisher. This was partly rewritten and given to SAP Hana last summer. Thanks to partnership with four students from the EISTI school engineers, Ubister has packaged a key starting offers hand-tailored to small businesses. The official launch has been done with the solution demo by student, end of March in SAP Paris office. For the small reminder, UBISTER was our first INNOJAM sponsor, in October 2013. During this jam, Pierre Gueguen, Ubister MD, met EISTI students. A new collaboration was born !

This overall objective: Let customers and business partners know that SAP are very keen in working closely with education, and promote the concrete ways customer can use to collaborate with SAP Partners.
