Last year, Mines Nancy Enactus team, the SAP semi-final pool winners of the Compétition Nationale which took place on 2-3 June at Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, had the chance to be welcomed into SAP to spend 1 day with the management team.

Their project is the following:

ReSOS project aims to promote the social reintegration of people in difficulty through workshops for making cardboard furniture, convey skills useful in everyday life and create social links, promote self-esteem. The team holds training workshops for making cardboard furniture for residential and social reintegration and allows a first step towards the professionalization of extremely marginalized. This furniture can be sold later.

5 people in difficulties have been involvced in the workshops since the beginning of the project.

This first visit feedback was so nice, Mines Nancy students have contacted us to organize a new visit for their colleagues.

The 24th of March 2016, our attendees had the chance to have as sneak preview, a presentation of a real FESTO Cyber Physical Factory, Industry 4.0.

This day was at first, dedicated to have a Digital Experience with the visit of our Connected-Shop, Vending Machine, Urban Matters, Digital Farming...demos. But, as chance would the installation of the FESTO Cyber Physical Factory, Industry 4.0, had just been completed.

Indeed, Frederic Puche, in charge of the Executive Business Center @ Paris, has, in collaboration with FESTO, decided to install a production chain with 6 different modules, in one of our meeting rooms, to illustrate the SAP's vision of the Industry 4.0.

The engineers' team has proposed us a complete demo of their solution.

This Cyber Physical Factory can produce different materials with different components without a specific order of treatment.

The manufacturer doesn't need to partition his production.

It starts with the income order's processing, the empty trolley is identified with one unique signal code. At each step, with this reference, the robots are able to add the right component. Before to be packed for expedition, a quality check point validates the material.

The Digital Experience was complete and beyond our expectations!

Most of the attendees are following a generalist program of study, this day with SAP has given them a lot of tracks for their future specialization.
